It was in 2013 shortly after I became the principal of Beaumont Head Academy, that I became aware of Marchbank. At that time it it wasn’t even in existence, but was simply a vision for a new school. Having watched it grow from an idea to opening as a Primary Free School I have been fascinated to see it develop and expand. Working in Beaumont Hill gave me the opportunity to work with Marchbank staff and meet some of the children. After retirement I have maintained my contact with the Education Village through the delivery of training and so I was delighted to be asked to become a governor. I live in North Yorkshire and in my spare time I enjoy yoga, walking and trying to learn Spanish.
