Beyond the Classroom

We believe that learning outside of the classroom is just as important as learning in it. We use our outdoor spaces and our relationships with the community and other agencies to provide a broad curriculum to our pupils.

We regularly plan educational visits and learning experiences including:

• Themed learning days
• Sporting events

School Council

We value the views and opinions of our children. Pupil voice is important and we try to make sure it is heard. We have a School Council, which meets on a regular basis to discuss changes and improvements to the school.

Each class elects a representative to be part of the School Council through a democracy theme day. Representatives gather thoughts, views and suggestions from their class and feed them back into Council meetings. The whole school is also asked to elect a head and deputy head pupil to support the Head of School in decision making.
