Governance
Vision statement:
Governors will support Marchbank in creating a safe, fun and stimulating environment where pupils and staff feel valued and respected. Governors will work with stakeholders to enable all pupils to be the best they can and are well prepared for next steps.
This vision is aligned with the school vision and with the Nolan Principles

Education Standards Committee (ESC)
In a Multi-Academy Trust, Governance is a shared duty of the Board of Trustees and the Education Standards Committees for each academy.
To avoid unnecessary duplication and so that responsibility is clear, EVAT has allocated responsibility for any strategic and financial matters to the Board of Trustees (and its sub-committee, the Finance, Audit Risk and Resources Committee) and the monitoring of Educational Standards and holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance is the responsibility of the Education Standards Committees (ESCs). Each academy has its own ESC. An ESC is a team, in order to share knowledge and responsibility members of the ESC often have ‘link’ roles and will focus and report on a school priority or key area when they make governance visits to the academy.
